E-Commerce Marketing: Find the Biggest Leak Before Buying Traffic

An online store can grow sales by bringing more people in, helping more of them buy, or giving existing customers a reason to return. Work out which constraint is costing you the most before increasing ad spend.
Follow one product through the funnel
Choose a product with enough traffic to inspect. Compare product views, add-to-cart actions, successful checkouts, refunds, and fulfillment issues. Check the actual mobile page for missing sizing, delivery dates, or variant photos. If stock runs out every week, promoting the item harder will not fix the customer experience.
Spend against contribution, not just revenue
Suppose a $70 order leaves $24 after product, packaging, payment, and shipping costs. A $25 acquisition cost loses money on that first order before overhead. Repeat purchases may change the economics, but use observed cohorts rather than assumed lifetime value. Record the measurement period and cancellation rate.
Give each channel a job
Use search to capture named product demand, video to demonstrate a difficult feature, and email to follow up with subscribers who asked for help. Match each ad to a corresponding available product or collection. Test one offer or creative change at a time and compare net orders in the store with the platform’s attributed conversions.
