How to Use AI Writing Tools for Better Blog Content

An AI writing tool can turn a client question into a useful first outline. The part readers come for is usually the detail only your team knows. For a guide about adding customer reviews to a website, that might be which link opens a review form and which link simply displays the business listing.
Give the draft a question, evidence, and a reader
Start with the question a real customer asked. Write down who will use the answer, what they are trying to do, and what a successful result looks like. Gather your source links, product notes, and a worked example before asking for prose. Strip customer identifiers from any example you plan to share.
Use a brief that makes missing evidence visible
Try this prompt: “Write an outline for a store owner who wants to add customer reviews to a product page. Use the supplied product notes. For each section, name the action the reader can take and flag any claim that needs verification.” Ask for the outline first. If two sections promise the same answer, merge them before drafting.
Check claims in the product or its documentation
Open every cited source yourself. Confirm that a menu still exists, that a feature is available on the plan you mention, and that a quoted person actually said the words attributed to them. For a worked example, compare the outline with our Google and Yelp reviews guide. Never let generated text stand in for a customer testimonial.
Edit for search and the reader who lands there
Make the title specific enough that a reader can predict the answer. Write the description after the article, then compare its promise with the opening paragraph. Replace vague advice with a decision, a demonstration, or a limitation. Google’s guidance on generative AI content emphasizes accuracy and value, including in titles and descriptions.
Use AI where it saves editing time
Count the time from the brief to an approved article, including verification. A draft produced in a minute can still take an hour to repair. Keep a dated note of the sources and the product version you checked. When the product changes, the next editor will know exactly which passages need another look.
